Highlights from Web3D 2025 Conference

Thank You for Joining Us at Web3D 2025 in Siena, Italy. This year’s event brought together a vibrant community of innovators, creators, and thought leaders in the field of 3D web technologies.

Web3D 2025 attendees had the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, engage in insightful discussions, and explore the latest advancements in Web3D technologies. The conference theme "Digital Legacies and Immersive Futures" focused on the integration of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and other immersive technologies in the field of digital heritage. There was an emphasis on collaboration across disciplines to enhance the applications of 3D technologies in various sectors. Research work showcased advancements in 3D graphics, AI integration, metaverse, and real-time rendering, illustrating how these technologies are shaping the future of web experiences.

Discussions and presentations highlighted the importance of designing immersive experiences with the user in mind, ensuring accessibility and engagement. Various case studies were presented, demonstrating practical implementations of Web3D technologies in cultural heritage, education, and beyond. Discussions also touched on the future of Web3D, including potential developments in the metaverse, and the ongoing evolution of web standards to support richer 3D experiences.

Our keynote speaker Prof. Don Brutzman delivered an inspiring talk on Looking backwards and forwards: evolving technology and people for 3D Web that set the tone for the conference. The networking events were a fantastic way to connect with peers. We loved seeing the collaboration and discussions that took place! Web3D 2025 proceedings at the ACM Digital Library are available free for one month from September 8, 2025.  Check out the detailed conference program!
