RE: [x3d-public] New Flux Open Source Build Up on Sourceforge

Hi Don and everyone,

Sorry for the radio silence on this topic - we've been busy as beavers
since the summer and I am a bit behind on responding to the X3D list.

We took down the Flux sources from SourceForge a few months ago. As many
of you know, open source products require care and feeding and a
thriving developer community to be a success. That takes resources, and
those resources need to be weighed against other initiatives, and
currently those have a higher priority for which we need to apply
resources. So at the moment we have decided to put the Flux Player open
source project on hold.

Please stay tuned for more developments. In the meantime, be assured
that Media Machines will continue with its commitment to a open
standards and affordable technologies for Web3D.

Tony
