X3D Example Archives: Humanoid Animation, Pose

The Pose directory contains experimental X3D models that are intended for someday extending the Humanoid Animation (HAnim) International Standard, ISO—IEC 14774:2019. They are candidates for conversion and upgrading.

Relevant references from HAnim Architecture volume 1 version 2.0 include clause 4.8.2 Modelling of human-like HAnim figures and clause 4.8.3 Poses.

X3D Tooltips of interest, in hierarchical order: HAnimHumanoid, HAnimJoint, HAnimSegment, HAnimSite, HAnimDisplacer, HAnimMotion.

Humanoid animation (HAnim) version 2 International Standard includes Part 1: architecture and Part 2: motion data animation.

X3D Specification section of interest: 26 Humanoid Animation (HAnim) component.

  2 X3D Models       X3D Model Descriptions
HAnim Pose Prototype Define an experimental new node to simply capture a single pose for an HAnimHumanoid model. Expected usage is to allow HAnimHumanoid to contain multiple Pose nodes which can be activated and composed.
HAnim Pose Prototype Preliminary Preliminary attempt to define an experimental new node to simply capture a single pose for an HAnimHumanoid model. Problems include verbose, over-complex and error-prone definition of necessary parameters as sets of arrays.
