If the reciprocal of two consecutive integers is 17/72, what is an equation that you could use to find the integers?

(1)/(x)+(1)/(x)+1=(17)/(72) is the equation.....
Find the LCD (least common denominator) of (1)/(x)+(1)/(x)+1+(17)/(72).
Least common denominator: 72x....
Multiply each term in the equation by 72x in order to remove all the denominators from [ the equation.
(1)/(x)*72x+(1)/(x)*72x+1*72x=(17)/(72)*72x....
72x+144=(17)/(72)*72x...
72x+144=17x...
72x+144-17x=0...
55x+144=0....
55x=-144....
(55x)/(55)=-(144)/(55)...
x=-(144)/(55) is the answer. ]
