So, if you are interested in participating with an eye towards how our X3D
and HAnim standards might be implemented even better, then please contact
Anita Havele and I. Web3D Consortium membership is a necessary
prerequisite for anyone serving as our liaison to a W3C working group.
Web3D Consortium membership has value! Thanks for considering the
possibilities.

Subject: Call for Participation: Web Applications Working Group Charter
approved; Join the WebApps WG
To: <w3c-ac-forum at w3.org>
Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]
W3C is pleased to announce the recharter of the Web Applications Working
Group.
https://www.w3.org/2026/01/webappswg-charter-2026.html
The group is chartered through 31 January 2028.
The mission of the Web Applications Working Group (WebApps WG) is to
produce specifications that facilitate the development of client-side
web applications.
Please use the following form to have your organization join the group.
The form will also instruct you how to nominate participants:
https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/webapps/join
Please consider diversity when proposing people to participate in W3C
groups. Representation from a wider group of people, especially people
from under-represented groups, is vital for creating web standards that
meet the needs of the wider web community.
Current participants will remain in this group and are not required to
re-join.
The group co-chairs are Léonie Watson (TetraLogical), Marcos Cáceres
(Apple), Diego González (Microsoft), and Marijn Kruisselbrink (Google).
The Staff Contacts are Xiaoqian Wu (0.25 FTE), Michael[tm] Smith (0.1
FTE) for a total of 0.35 FTE.
More information about the group can be found on the group home page:
https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/webapps
