Intriguing opportunity for current or future Web3D Consortium members, if
you are interested.

World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is considering a charter review and renewal
for

   - *Media and Entertainment Interest Group*
   - The *mission* of the Media and Entertainment Interest Group
<https://www.w3.org/groups/ig/me/> is to provide a forum for
media-related technical discussions to track progress of media features on
the Web within W3C groups and use of Web technologies by external
organizations, and to identify use cases and requirements that existing
and/or new specifications need to meet to achieve improved support for
   media services on the Web.

As X3D Graphics and Humanoid Animation (HAnim) continue to progress, more
possibilities are emerging than ever before on how such efforts can help
advance and deploy our capabilities.

Individuals willing to participate as a Web3D representative can learn (and
help) a lot in multiple directions.

Please contact Anita Havele and I if you (or someone you know) might be
interested. Thanks for considering the possibilities.

all the best, Don
