At this year’s conference, Web3D led multiple Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions, including Cartographic Visualization, Metaverse Standards Forum: Web of Worlds, and the flagship session The Future of Web3D. These gatherings brought together developers, researchers, and industry leaders to explore breakthroughs in X3D v4, HAnim humanoid animation, Geospatial, X3D AI, and cross‑standard workflows connecting X3D, glTF, and OpenUSD.
Throughout the week, Web3D demonstrated real‑time X3D experiences running in modern browsers, showcased interoperable pipelines using HAnim and glTF, and presented cultural heritage and scientific visualization projects built on sustainable, standards‑based 3D technologies.
