Rendering to a framebuffer (BitBlt) wouldn't be OGL would it? I don't
know the current IE, but wouldn't it be based on GDI? If they were
based on DirectX and OpenGL, wouldn't we see 3D in the browsers now w/
o a bunch of plugins? I understand that under all of this, there must
be some interface to the graphics card. Only more recent versions of
Java integrate Swing with OpenGL.
