RE: [x3d-public] SVG -> X3D?



The visualisation is of a hierarchal state machine, so sublayers are
actually sublayers of the state machine. The current tools present
these as individual 2D diagrams and it is literally up to the user to
imagine how they fit together... with 3D they need not strain their
brains... (much more details are in the paper).

The visualisation is generated from just one tool (via the API), other
tools export SVG. So if I can convert SVG->X3D, it will easily extend
the test cases possible (my ultimate goal is to test for benefit).

I am thinking that a student summer project here (RMIT) creating a
SVG->X3D converter, would be of benefit to me and the wider X3D
community (the tool would be open source of course).
