Re: [x3d-public] New Flux Open Source Build Up on Sourceforge
Summary of responses, including from Media Machines: zero.
The open-source Flux codebase on Sourceforge does not appear to be usable.
Contrary opinions and future assessment reports remain welcome.

Hi everyone
We posted a new Flux build today. This is build 634, which
corresponds with
the publicly released Version 2.0 we put up on our web site at the
end of
February.
http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/flux
Please note that this does not have any post-release 2.0 bug fixes,
nor has
any work been done in response to those test compiles for the Mac
that were
kicking around last month. We'll try to get those soon!
Enjoy

Wondering if anyone has experience getting the open codebase to build?
It's not clear to me what Tony's e-mail is referring to. Perhaps what it
refers to is no longer available. I don't see any files available for
download as part of the SourceForge project.
The CVS repository appears not to have been touched for 4 years. I
haven't made any attempt to build the code there; but, glancing over a
few files, it looks like what's there is a rather skeletal prototype.
Thank you Braden for looking at the codebase.
If anyone anywhere has gotten the Flux open-source codebase to compile,
or finds some value in it, that would be helpful to learn.
all the best, Don
