[x3d-public] RE: [www-vrml] Migrating ROL to X3D: Nyet.

Still, we have to get to the complex content. Since FS and Seamless are
major free editors with a growing community of authors, finding out what is
going on when they import and export content from other editors is a great
way to improve the lot of a lot of people. We may discover that we need a
basic set of author error levels that the browsers and editors report,
decide which are fatal and which are just irritants. OTW, the XML Draconian
parse is the model and that forgives nothing: parse and burn.

If DEF names are being treated like XML ids, then the requirements are
stricter than VRML97 originally spec'd. We may be running into issues from
having two different syntaxes with different parse models. I don't know how
the different X3D implementations are dealing with that.

So the glass is half-full and becoming more full.
I also have some great examples of some simple
stuff that gets Flux flailing, but look at all the amazing
contributions that are working.
