Re: [x3d-public] New Year's resolution: dedicated working-group focus on X3D interoperability
Joe, thanks very much for your thoughtful feedback. It will be useful
as we proceed together to work on these issues.
I am optimistic that we will be able to stick within the already-defined
areas of the specification during this period and maximize consistent
operation among browsers and tools. New or additional modes will be
worth defining and deferring, for comparison if nothing else. Spec
clarifications can also be promptly pursued if needed, since working out
acceptable wordings (in concert with example scenes for implementation
and evaluation) usually pulls us through even the most perplexing problems.
In any case, everyone will benefit from group progress in this next stage.
Again thanks for your long-running thoughts and efforts on these topics.
all the best, Don
