Re: [x3d-public] Re: [www-vrml] RE: In Order For a 3D Internet To Work
Hi again. The Cloud ideal is interesting and I had no idea that 'cute
thing' at intel was such an animal. (cute = interesting but ugly font sizes)
I couldn't wait and I decided to play with the VRGS page now at version 0.02
to allow a IE5.5sp2 xmlRequest of the google page (xmlRequest like this will
not work in IE6+, Ff, Ns, etc).
As a play thing I modified the VRGS pages in
http://www.kitchenpages.com/tmp/vrgs.zip to a find Anchor elements with
Class Attribute of 'l' and write the HREF result to a new window. The RSS
option sounds good considering problems with HTML like access denied when
crossing domains would be overcome as I could instead bounce RSS from a
server, aggergrate app, etc.
I have no intent of using this techonlogy but would still like to have it in
3D. Many flavours from 2D results to 3D results, and even cloud formats so
I can look around at results in 3D would be very cool.
I have to wonder when g,y, or m will produce a 3D search engine or allow
results to be used in such considering such things as SL, and video game ads
but I guess corperate customers are first inline.
Ps: the vrgs.zip that I have made is somewhat evil, very tos evil, and has
no g application ID (as such will be deleted within a few days) - Searching
for Chair Leg is good.
