When you reply to an e-mail, the References and In-Reply-To headers
point back to the e-mail you replied to. So even if you change the
Subject, your reply is part of the same thread.

Note that in addition to looking funny to persons using mail readers
that show threads, these headers are honored by most mailing list
archival software--so threads also become more difficult to follow for
persons reading the lists in such archives.

I don't mean to pick on you; but I've seen a few people on this list
doing the same thing lately and I wanted to raise the visibility of the
problems caused by this practice.
