Thanks R. for that .kml file,

Nice that .kml is indeed in XML format, but has no reference in it to a .dtd
or .xsd though to see the schema
I guess searching the installation folder of the tool (or of the google
earth plugin to share these models) one might find a .xsd or .dtd (either as
file or embedded in some data file)
