that is one of the ideas behind
the "Minimalist xVRML Props Contest"...
having lots of small-file-size props
to pull from an object library
and to combine in various ways to make sets and scenes
[a la bricolage]
so the arrangements of simple props
promote a sense of being in a rich synthetic environment
rather than using detail-and-texture-heavy objects
a different aesthetic I suppose
