Re: [www-vrml] Fw: 3D renderings & Virtual tours (trees) (again)

left side tree at the front has near the middle some polygonal edges, but the front tree on the right handside does look very nice plus has really nice texture (or maybe bump map?) at the main body of the tree (the leaves do look very nice too)

middle tree far away also looks a bit polygonal

a nice "static" scene indeed - maybe if they had some QuickTime VR or similar panoramic / cubic scenes (or better panoramic videos) to try it would be even better to see for oneself if it's pursuasive (which is necessery to get and immersive feeling if there's nothing else [like action] to distract your senses and you're just going arround exploring a scene)

thanks for the link,
George

Not trying to resurrect a dead pummelled horse, but this screen shot is too sweet
not to bring to your attention. If this isn't real enough for that landscaper guy,
nothing is:

Trees & such absolutely can be done in a 3D environment. Check out
http://www.3dnature.com/

I've been using World Construction Set for a while and it is exactly
what you need. Their home page has a link to contractors. The also have
an email list that is populated by some really talented folks. Once you
are done putting together your scene, you can output it as a still
pict, a QuickTime movie, and now you can even output it as a real-time
scene that can be flown through - ala PlayStation.

Enjoy,
Stephen
