[www-vrml] X3D Exporter for 3d Studio Max - Alpha testers sought
There is now an X3D exporter plugin available for 3D Studio Max (version 5 thru 7).
The 'Alpha' version for Max 6 is posted at www.unrealroc.com.

You can read all about it there. If you need it for Max 5 or 7, let me know.
This should be back-compatible with older VRML97 scenes (those VRML97 helper objects).
Supports both x3dv (VRML) and x3d (XML) encoding. And multitextures. And a simple load sensor.
And bug fixes etc.
Since there is a LOT of stuff in there, I have not tested it all thoroughly. That's why I'm asking
for anyone who uses Max and has an interest in seeing it output X3D to try this plugin
and let me know how you like (or dislike) it, what problems you might find (please email
any/all files you have problems with), and what you'd like to see added. I'm hoping to
go Beta by end of the month, and put it all out there in open source by end of April.
