Hi Neil, Good to hear from you! Trust me, this not
personal. This is my attempt to keep the revisionist from rewriting history. Since
1998, you have said pretty much the same thing—we NEED companies. But
then we get large companies like Intel (I have listed many others) at the table
and interested in the work of the Consortium and then suddenly they are gone
and all the same people remain making inuindo about those who can’t play
well with others. This has been a law of
diminishing returns since 2000. I still have every
intention of using Web3D technologies and if X3D ever matures or secures larger
players then I will figure out a way to use it in my projects. I appreciate Allan’s
email. It was a very clear explaination of where we are and of what is happening—including
