RE: [www-vrml] X3D converter translator list?
Or use PFE if you like. It has brace matching and can do
macros. It's free and it handles whopping big files
fast. I can't get along without it for a lot of editing
tasks but I originally got it for VRML 1 when a smarter
VRMLer than me suggested it. It isn't being worked
but there are still download sites.
My worlds suck but I can clean them
and convert them. Might as well put a few more
spiderable extensions out there.
Joe, do you have the list for these?

Maybe a really quick article like Alan has started that says
"Wanta convert your VRML97 to X3D? Just follow these instructions:"
should be on the W3DC page, that is, one that
works in an ASCII editor without having to download a tool other
than an X3D browser. That would be pretty useful.

Would Notepad or Wordpad work? They come free with Windows. I think
DOS has ed or edit too.
