A version of the X3D-CAD example file with full capitalization; and applied coloring.
In honor of the season, here is an alternative coloring of the same model, with a choice of colors suggested by the chromatically gifted contributors to COLOURlovers.com
Color your Own
You can prepare your own version with your national or football team colors by editing any of the X3D models above with X3D-Edit or a text editor and changing the Appearance nodes with the following values for the DEF field:
- partcolor -- for the underlying body of the stamp
- X.appearance -- for the letter X
- D.appearance -- for the letter D
- three.appearance -- for the digit 3
The solid model for the models above was created with the Ashlar-Vellum Argon CAD software.
Stamp_X3D.ar (zipped) -- native Argon format file with the solid model (not colored)
The solid model was exported to STEP AP 203, then converted to X3D with the SPRI2 online STEP-browsing application.
Stamp_X3D.stp (zipped) -- the STEP file (Part 21 encoding, clear-text, encoding)
The CAD application was also used to export the solid model as an STL file suitable for common rapid-prototyping processes. This model has been uploaded to the Shapeways site.
