Octaga launches Octaga Player for MAC OSX
Octaga is first to offer a commercial cross-platform X3D viewer
Oslo, Norway/Menlo Park, CA, USA, - August 1, 2007 - Octaga is now launching Octaga Player for Mac OS X. The new 3D player has been developed on behalf of the Seattle-based Yumetech and the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Octaga Player is now available on Windows XP, Vista, Linux and Mac OS X. In addition Octaga Player can run as plug-in to MS Windows products, Adobe Acrobat and all major Internet browsers or as Java Applet.
Octaga Player is designed to be a flexible, high quality, high performance viewer for X3D and VRML. Octaga Player is being constantly extended to support new techniques stemming from the gaming industry and the emerging X3D standard. Octaga Player is in use by 1 million users world-wide.
The release of the Octaga Player for the Mac will bring great joy for the growing number of Mac users worldwide and function as a gateway to the benefits of the ISO standard X3D, says Rita Turkowski Executive Director, Web3D consortium.

Octaga Player in all versions is available as free download from http://www.octaga.com. Octaga Player is free for personal use, and has a license cost of 30 /37 US$ for commercial use.
