Hello Don,

Thank you for sharing the issues list.

I am interested in:

865 X3D19775-1 (Abstract)V4.1normalconfirmedminor 25.3.7
GeoPositionInterpolator - Add onGreatCircle field
940 X3D19775-1 (Abstract)V4.1normalconfirmedmajor 25.2.3 Specifying a
spatial reference frame - Addition of new web Mercator system

and would include those in X3D V.4 . I thought they would be but they
seem deferred which may be unavoidable.

I can log in to my web3d member page but I do not have a way to access
the mantis pages. Could Anita help with that ?

I think all other X3DV4 issues are properly resolved.

I think Mike was interested in the new GeoOriginTransform node which I
do not see listed. We have provided a full description in McCann et
al., 2015.

Similarly, there has been agreement to add a new globalGeoOrigin field
to GeoTransform

http://web3d.org/mailman/private/geospatial_web3d.org/2015-July/000036.html

The field would be useful if GeoOrigin is not deprecated further. It
provides for a saner way to use GeoOrigin taking advantage of the fact
that typically in a scene only a single GeoOrigin makes sense.

GeoOrigin unfortunately is still useful due to limited numerical
precision in floating point arithmetic, at least for Ecmascript
numbers.

Hope this helps, Andreas
