So true, I see. Maybe the file name is default motion name.

Subject: HAnimMotion node - name field needed?

Joe, I just noticed that we have not listed a /name/ field in HAnimMotion, like all of the other HAnim nodes.

• X3D4 Architecture,
• https://www.web3d.org/specifications/X3Dv4Draft/ISO-IEC19775-1v4-DIS/Part01/components/hanim.html#HAnimMotion

• HAnim2 volume 2, clause 6 HAnim motion data animation using Motion objects, 6.3 Data structure of Motion object
• https://www.web3d.org/documents/specifications/19774/V2.0/MotionDataAnimation/MotionNodes.html#MotionObject

I can definitely see where this field is useful for unified object model, and for consistency of diagnostics/validation.

Possibly we might need it in future uses of HAnimMotion node as we continue to advance our capabilities.

Anything else?  Do you think we should include it in X3D4 for consistency?  Am thinking that this addition is prudent.

all the best, Don
