As reported previously on this list, MatLab Simulink appears to have excellent support for X3D/VRML.

Wondering if anyone on the list might be using Matlab/Simulink these days? There has been some useful work in the past and a huge suite of functionality is available there.

Here is an interesting issue report:

* Simulink 3d Animation LinePickSensor detects collision wrong
   https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/481503-simulink-3d-animation-linepicksensor-detects-collision-wrong

Guess: representations of line picking appear to be contacting unrendered bounding boxes, rather than actual geometry.

Recurring questions:

a. We don't have any good LinePickSensor demonstration models in the X3D Example Archives, does anyone have anything they want to share?

b. Anyone working with MatLab Simulink 3D Animation?

c. Does anyone have knowledge on how the "under the hood" MatLab Simulink picking is performed, is X3D involved?

Good questions never seem to go away... until implemented and answered! 8)

Thanks for all responses.

all the best, Don
