[X3D-Public] Is there a 'base url' for VRML/X3D browsers?

I think it is really the host html browser trying to isolate the 
object or embed element and not allowing the X3D browser to accept 
short urls and base url from a different domain than the original base 
used in the object or embed element.

Once upon a time I used like this to work in the html browsers that 
did this.
