Media Machines, the developer of the FLUX platform for enabling X3D real-time 3D communication has acquired Virtock Technologies, the developer of the Vizx3D X3D authoring and publishing tool for the Web. Future versions of Vizx3D will be integrated with the Flux platform to provide an end-to-end industrial-strength, open development platform that competes effectively on price and features with the other real-time 3D tools for creating games, animations, presentations, training applications, web sites, and immersive environments.
