The Web3D symposium (April 18-21, 2006 Columbia Maryland) is now open for registration. There are some great tutorials for both new and expert users. Sessions include examples of X3D being used not only on web browsers but on mobile devices, in peer-peer networks, broadcast networks and on large scale visualization devices like CAVES and Domes. This conference will give you an in depth overview of how you can use X3D to solve a wide range of problems and have fun while doing it.

An Interchange Profile Conformance Testing Suite has been created, and has been placed on-line for Web3D Member comment and review. The purpose of this Conformance Testing Suite are:
- Offer an easy to administer and verify testing suite that will adequately test submitted browsers to the Interchange Profile
- Allow browsers that pass the conformance tests to claim X3D Interchange compliance and use the X3D trademark.
This framework will allow the Consortium to build testing suites and procedures for other profiles. Members are encouraged to review the proposed test suite by visiting the Work Group folder of the Members Only Area.
