IEEE Visualization, InfoVis and VAST to hold Joint 2007 Conferences/Symposiums :: Archived event
Overview
The IEEE Visualization, InfoVis and VAST are holding joint conferences and symposia this year. It would be good for X3D and/or the Web3D Consortium to have a presence there.
The IEEE Visualization, InfoVis and VAST conferences/symposiums will held in Sacramento, CA from October 28 - November 1 2007.

IEEE Visualization, InfoVis and VAST also have poster sessions which may be of interest, especially to students and academics. There is also opportunity for company displays as well. Some from last year: Kitware, HP, and the recently established visualization group National Visualization and Analytics Center which is funded through the Department of Homeland Security.
The kind of people who were at the 2006 conference included well known academics: Stuart Card (Parc), Ed Chi (Parc), Jock Mackinlay (Parc), George Robertson (MS), James Foley (Georgia Tech), John Stasko (Georgia Tech), Ben Shneiderman (UMD), Daniel Keim (U of Konstanz), Pat Hanrahan (Stanford), Arie Kaufman (SUNY Stony Brook), Jim Thomas, Chris North (Virginia Tech), Stephen North (AT&T), Jarke van Wijk (U of Eindhoven). Total attendance was about 500 last year.
